Target Shoppers! Possible Refund on Fieldcrest Egyptian Cotton Sheets Purchases

The links in the post below may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

5Attention Target shoppers!

Did you purchase Fieldcrest Egyptian Cotton 500-thread count sheets between August 2014 and July 2016?

If so, Target is offering a full refund in the form a gift card for select purchases. After an extensive investigation into the manufacturing company Welspun Global Brands, they became aware that the company had made sheets labeled as “Egyptian cotton” but were actually made with cotton of the non-Egyptian sort. Neither Target nor Fieldcrest had any idea that this was going on.

There is no safety issue if you choose to continue using this product. However, if you did purchase these Fieldcrest Egyptian Cotton sheets during the dates listed above, you can submit a web form here to request a full refund that will be sent you in the form of a gift card.

Target says it learned last month that 750,000 sheets and pillowcases supplied by Welspun India were labeled as Egyptian cotton, but were made from some other type, and pulled the items from its stores, Bloomberg was the first to report. Egyptian cotton has extra-long fibers that are associated with high quality products, which means some shoppers are willing to pay a premium for those items.
